Are you full? You can't be done with your donut.

No, but I thought if I gave you my donut then you wouldn't ask for any of my Icee.

It would have been nicer if you said 'Mom, I love you so much and want to share my donut with you.'

Yeah, it would have been. But then I wouldn't have gotten my point across that I don't want you to have any of my Icee!!
